Wedding Update

So we are at 40 days until the wedding. The invitations are sent out and I can't believe I'm actually saying this but we have everything (other than a couple payments to make) done. I'm so excited that I have some wonderful girls in my life that are throwing me a wedding shower and bachelorette party. I'm so excited and so very thankful and blessed for some wonderful people in my life.

Happy Valentine's Day...50 Days!

Happy Valentine's Day! My valentine and I have 50 days till we tie the knot! Last night I left Jesse his card and gift on the counter and I woke up to find my Valentine's gift.

So I saw on Pinterest if you sent a wedding invitation to Disney world or Disney Land they will send you something back. Although they show an autograph picture of Pinterest we got a post card and I'm just excited I got something back from Disney Land! They rock! Just something to remember our special day and show our kids. We both carried a Mickey Mouse with us when we were little.

Checking off the list to-do for the wedding!!

So this weekend we took care of a lot of things that were still on our list to-do for the wedding. I"m hoping by the time March comes we are good to go with the wedding and I can then focus on our reception we are going to be having at home. Its going to be so much easier to plan since we will having it here instead of a different state like the wedding. Although it's been a nice not stressful time with the people we are having set up for our ceremony they are very helpful and anytime I have a question or concern I get addressed and it's no problem. Very nice. Wednesday I had my first alteration fitting and all that needs to be done is hemming along the bottom and of course a bussell for my train. Thursday I got the flower ball Jules will holding down the isle in the mail. Friday I ordered ring security shirts for the boys and our wedding ceremony favors. Saturday we(bridal party) made our sandals for the day of the wedding, got the invitations stamped and stuff(Thank you to my wonderful matron of honor (Mandy Sample), best bridesmaid ever (Ashley Forkner), and of course my amazing momma (Jo Miller) who got me the stamp. Also for my wonderful Ma who let us use her house to do this and let us spend some much needed girl time). Then yesterday we got the guys wedding clothes--Khaki pants and button down white shirt, and then finally we got our wedding bands. So last week and the weekend was very wedding productive and we got so much accomplished!!! We are close to halfway there with 53 days to go. I seriously can't believe it but I'm so ready for it to be here. I have waited since I was little girl to get married and I have waited since I meet my sweet babe to be his wife.

A happy but sad day....

If someone asked me to define true love instantly my grandparents come to mind. I have never seen two people more in love. Just looking at this picture it says it all. My grandparents would celebrate their 60th anniversary today. Although my grandpa isn't here to physically be with her I know he will not leave her side. As i type this tears fall because it tears at my heart that my grandma's heart is breaking. A year ago today Jesse popped the question I waited my whole life to hear. I remember calling my grandparent and them being so excited and they couldn't of been more happier( even though he was UofL fan lol) When we take our vows in April we will inspire to have the lobe and marriage they do. They lived off of their love and love for their children. All that they needed was each other and that people is what marriage and life is all about. Please say a prayer for my grandma as today she years and misses her true love her soul mate.

2 Months Until I do!

Can't believe we are at the 2 month mark until our wedding. I have so much more left to do but have a good amount of things marked of my list. I worked on invitations last weekend and will be buying the stamps for them and having my bridal party over to work on these this weekend. We also are going to be working on our sandals we are going to decorate for the day of the wedding since we will wear these up to walking on the beach. Of course then we will be barefoot! Tonight I go for my first alteration appointment for my dress. Ugh...I'm a little nervous although I can't wait to put it on again. We still have to get what the groomsmen are wearing and little things here and there but other than that we are pretty much ready to go. I'm so thankful that I have wonderful family who are throwing me not only a wedding shower but bachelorette party. Thank you all for making my day even more exciting with some celebrations!! I'm seriously a lucky girl!
