Great beginning.....to a sad ending 2012

2012 started off wonderful in February 7, 2012-- Jesse proposed to me outside of my work. Totally took me by surprise. He said he loved me and wanted to be with me forever. Of course I said, YES! We went straight to my parents house and showed them and told them the great news. Called everyone in the family and of course announced it to FACEBOOK. Jesse had no idea but my grandparents celebrated their 59th anniversary that day also. I started planning right away we started with May 18, 2013 as our wedding day and then changed it to a beach wedding to April 5, 2013. We welcome two beautiful babies in our family summer 2012 precious Tinley Jo and Adalyn Mae. We also had some wonderful family and friends show their love for us with engagement party. We had our first garden and it produced more than we could really keep up with. I went fishing with Jesse and caught the smallest fish you could ever imagine. lol! I'm just trying to think of what else. My mind right now is just cloudy because all I can think of is how my year has ended. The death of my dearest loving and funny grandpa. As I called him my 'Pa'. He passes away early morning of Christmas Eve. He was my biggest fan as was I his. He use to keep me when I was smaller and take me to mothers day out. He came to every school function and even came on field trips with me. He loved Jesse although he was a card fan. LOL! I know Jesse was his favorite card fan. He enjoyed hearing Jesse talk about fishing and hunting. The only thing that keeps me from breaking into tears is that I know he feels so much better where he is now. He can garden, fish, do all the things he loved so much to do. And one day we will be with him again. Its just going to be awhile and I miss him so much already. He was more than just an ordinary grandfather to me and all his grand kids. He was an amazing man. I hope that I can be a great parent like he was to my mom and aunt and uncle. I will always love him and know he's with me in my heart everywhere I go.

2013 is the year for my wedding. It kinda keeping me distracted by all the sorrow I feel. I know my Pa wouldn't want us to be all sad and down. He would want us to keep going and living to the fullest. So we have 5 days till the 3 months mark and we are less than 100 days. It's coming soon. My mom also with get to retire from the Post office at the end of January. I'm so proud of her. She has taught us so well. She has worked her butt off so hard for so many years. She deserves the time to enjoy with her grand kids and do the things she enjoys to do. Proud of you momma and I know Ma and Pa are too!!
So here's to a new year. We won't ever forget 2012 but we will move into an New Year because no matter the hurt life goes on and we have no choice but to continue living because he would want us to.

100 Days

100 days until our wedding. Sorry just not excited that much right now. Although I know my grandpa will be right there withe that day.

Christmas Day....

I know by my previous post that you can tell how super excited I was that Christmas was coming. Saturday we enjoyed going to Jesse's cousin Erica house and watch everyone open gifts and ate yummy food. Sunday we went to our second place to enjoy family time with the Thiels. Then Saturday night around 11pm I got the call.....my grandpa wasn't breathing and he had died. By the time we got to the hospital it was Christmas Eve and we pronounced. We waited for all our family and then went in to say goodbye. I still can't believe it happen. I kissed and Hugh Pa goodbye for the last time. The man who watched me when I was little and took me to Mother's Day out, taught me so much about life, came to all my school functions, who taught me to be unselfish and kind, made me drink my milk before I could get a coke, got me watching soap operas (general hospital), made sure we never missed an episode of our favorite cartoon Count Duckula, always winked his eye, whistled, made the best roast and jam, had an amazing garden, taught me to bleed blue but not forget to respect the ppl who bleed red, listened to music, master at his yard and garden, took us fishing, loved hunting, enjoyed everything with a smile, and made everything special and magical. One of my memories I have of my Pa was sitting outside in his yard when I was little as telling him what I was going to do with my life. He laughed when I said I'm going to have my husband take his muddy boots off. lol! Which my hubby to be does do! I have so many wonderful memories. I just hope I never forget them, his smell, or voice. If we made mistakes my grandma and him were always so forgiving. I had been in a unhealthy relationship and he was so beyond happy when I found Jesse. He loved Jesse just as much as me I think even though he was a uofL fan. We caught a catfish on our first fishing trip and we took it to my grandpa who loved it! He also came and helped us with our garden and said how proud he was of it and we picked berries together that he just made jam out of. I will miss him so very much. Christmas was his absolute favorite time the lights, music, and of course loved the kids opening gifts. It is such a shame he missed Christmas although he knew this would be his last. I always knew this day would come but I wasn't ready and don't think I ever really will. A little piece of my heart is gone but is filled with his spirit. We will bury him Thursday. I think I'm still in shock though. Please pray for my grandmother who lost the love of her life. She too is just as wonderful as a person as my Pa.

Rest in peace my Pa--now you can do all the things you always loved to do. I will love you forever and always.

Less than a WEEK until Christmas

I can't believe it....Christmas is less than a week away. How crazy is that! This holiday season is just flying by. As of today, I have sent out my Christmas cards, purchased & wrapped all presents, decorating is done, and the cooking is going to begin for our Christmas get together with our families. We are spending Christmas with Lea's family (Jesse's mom) on Saturday, then off to spend Christmas with the Theil's, Monday we will go to Lea's house for Christmas Eve, later we will go to my grandparents, and then Christmas we will spend at my mom and dad's. Seriously can't wait to see all the people I love. With the events that took place last Friday I think everyone should be thankful for family and friends and cherish this time because tomorrow isn't promised. I just remember being a kid and it being the best time in my life. Going to my grandparents for dinner and seeing all the Christmas lights and knowing that night Santa was coming and my family was all together. I hope to remember to bring my camera to all these events and get some pictures. Because this will be our last Christmas not as a married couple!! lol! Yes, I had to add that!! Last night we went to my work's party. I work for LeadingAge Kentucky for a little over 8 months funny thing--I will be here for a year after the wedding! They are truly a wonderful company and have given me so many opportunities and challenges. I'm truly blessed to say that I love my job. Here are some pictures of Jesse and I there. I will be blogging again on Christmas I'm sure or the day after because we will be hitting the 100 days mark!!! WHOOP! WHOOP! Everyone enjoy this time before Christmas try not to let the stress and all get to you. Their are people out there that would gladly take your place. Always be thankful.

(Sorry it was dark we still have the old Iphones--not to worry this will be changing soon! lol!)

2 Weeks Until Christmas

Can't believe that today marks two weeks until Christmas my favorite time of year. I love the decorating, music, and of course the family time. It's just magical time. We have been very busy with Christmas events going on so far. The first weekend of December Mandy and Paul had an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party and it was a blast to be with everyone and see everyone's sweaters. Last Friday Jesse and I had a lot of fun taking Logan and E to the lights under louisville they really enjoyed and we sang Christmas songs all the way there. Seriously I love it. Then Saturday E had his Christmas program at school and then I went with them to see Santa. Funny times! Oh and then Sunday we had family over at my moms and we made sugar cookies, gingerbread houses, and santa crafts. Enjoy doing this every year. With two weeks left we have some more presents we need to buy some kiddos and soon we will be done shopping. Just wanted to share some pictures so far of Christmas time. Hope everyone has a great week---Enjoy this time it only comes once a year and it's what you make it.
